Grain Sparrow Ragnar is an incredible songwriter: by my reckoning, one of the best of our time. Unguarded, open-hearted, with a voice and melodic sensibility you have to hear to believe. His guitar solos, which were always good for chaos and emotional release in the past, have a precise and soulful quality on this record that puts them on par with the words and their singer. Favorite track: Svartskog.
